EVENTS: Salone Milan 2026
Salone 2026 Pedrali
The 62nd edition of Salone took place in April again, this year we had 2 brands Present at the Trade show with Pedrali and RS Barcelona. See our separate post for RS Barcelona news.
Many news things to see at Pedrali - again pushing the boundaries with the material and color use. Visting a Pedrali stand gives great inspiration of what trend colors will be in the next year.
This years trends we picked up
More colors on furniture fabric than in previous years. Walls, floors and decoration had more natural colors
Specifically in contract furniture we saw more prints and motives on fabrics
One color that stood out was Green, anything from pistachio to moss and olive green
Supergloss paints in bold colors on table tops surfaces
Macaron edges, chunky cookie like, on table tops
THE GREENS
Nuovo Guinea: this is one of those products that stood out for us. With a new technique of weaving the polypropylene belts, it creates a beautiful pattern in trio or mixed colours. Quick drying and meant for outdoor use, but even indoors it gives a happy appearance. The fabrics can be unzipped for washing or replacing with ease.
Ikon Twist: an addition to the popular and price conscious Ikon family is now available with a 25mm polypropylene rope twisted around. For in- and outdoor use, choose from 4 different rope colours. Max size dia 1590mm. Now you can match the ropes colors with the Panarea chairs for a complete mediterranean feel.
Estratto: the Concave aluminium sheets glide into one and another creating the table structure. Supergloss finished, delivered as flatpack.
Fibra: A luxurious summer loungers with a 100mm thick dryfoam cushioning. The frame is of aluminium that lasts a lifetime combined with teak details for the feet and wheels. Together with a small coffee table. Time to take a nap!
THE BLUES
Opale: the baby blue pastel we saw earlier on Estratto coffee table. More playfully mixed with American walnut on the legs of the chair. Also available without armrests and as barstool. Pictured with Frank table in retro brown with supergloss finish creating a great contrast with the boucle fabric.
Anemos: the supergloss colours we see more on surfaces than before he in a new blue. Pictured with Griante chairs.
Estratto: a diverse table series from extruded alu profiled sheets that built robust tables and console tables.
Fibra: plush is what comes to mind, with a touch of retro with the piping on the cushion. Double the fun with a 2-person sun lounger.
Libre or freedom - is the new polypropylen monoblock outdoor chair. The technology has developed further enabling more curves, resulting in a more elegant structure. Here piping meets with flat surfaces. From a distance it looks like a metal chair, thus with the benefit of plastic, being more comfortable to sit on and with a friendlier price tag.
EVENTS: Arena för Hållbara affärer - 100 Gruppen
Arena för hållbara affärer – nu går vi från ord till handling, som ägde rum den 5 maj kl. på K‑märkt Garnisonen.
Hållbara och cirkulära inredningslösningar stog i centrum för affären. Olika aktörer från hela värdekedjan, från fastighetsägare och offentlig sektor till inredningsföretag och innovatörer, delade insikter, visa konkreta lösningar och skapa nya samarbeten.
Tillsammans med några av branschens mest drivande aktörer – bland andra Jens Dolk, vd K‑märkt, Anna Denell, hållbarhetschef Vasakronan, och Robert Kos, Varumärkesstrateg och Affärsutvecklare, Yellon, samt 12 utställare med konkreta erbjudanden, utforskar vi hur cirkularitet kan bli en självklar del av affärer. Med Pedrali, visade vi 3 gen stolar - slitstark, enkelt att reparera och hållbart. Som mitt kostym jag hade på mig - den var 16 år gammal- vill vi att möbler håller längre och är reparabel

EVENTS: Studieresa Spik Studios to RS Barcelona
In March we went on another "studieresa" to Spai, visiting RS Barcelona in Montserrat. On this occasion we had the joy to travel with Spik Studios from Göteborg
On location we visited their flagshop store in the city centre of Barcelona a stone through away from Gaudis Casa Mila and production in Montserrat. A cosie villiage with funicular that brings you up the monastry on top of the mountain

Did you know?
RS Barcelona has the first female player, het name is Ella, made from cast aluminium to last a lifetime. Further she is hand painted after the colors of you favorite football club.

Many news things to see at Pedrali - and as always pushinh the boundaries with the material and color use. Visting a Pedrali stand gives you a great snapshot of what trend colors will be in the next year.
To mention a few trends
Colors: We picked up Cobalt blue, orange, 70’s brown and greens as well as wine red. And glossy paints are definitely back on table tops surfaces.
Coney is the outdoor chair from metal. A flat sheet pressed back panel creates less welds, less chance for damages or rust. Cleverly engineered to an interesting price tag.
EVENTS: Study trip RS Barcelona & Pedrali
October kicked off with a group 3 architects from Göteborg for a "studieresa" to both Spain and Italy, visiting RS Barcelona and Pedrali in Bergamo. On this 2 day trip we had the joy to travel with Hotel Legacy Group and Hifab architects
On location we visited their HQ and production, met the people behind the brand at RS Barcelona and the family Pedrali. A wonderfull trip, we hope to see you soon again Anna, Hanna and Hans

EVENTS: Orgatec 2024
From October 22 to October 25th 2024 Orgatec, Cologne Germany
A busy 3 days of tradeshow, schnitzel und Kölsch are ahead of us this fall. We are present with Pedrali in hall 6.1 A40.
Are you in need of tickets, mail us we give a limited nr of tickets away this. Please mail frank@plank-ton.net if you are interested. In good tradition Pedrali launches new products at international tradeshows, we have no idea what to expect. Last Salone we where blown away. A few pictures below of the Lamorisse family… choose fromsoft seating, dining or outdoor.
Outoodr that is melting to indoor as well. Panarea and Philia are 2 excellent examples how the airy chairs fit just as well infdoors as they can outdoor.

Yet another trip with 3 architects from Stockholm for a "studieresa" to Italy, once again visiting Pedrali in Bergamo. On this 1 day trip we had the joy to travel with Spectrum and Tillsammans.
On location we visited their HQ and production, met the people behind the brand and the family Pedrali. A splendid trip, we hope to see you soon again Lovisa, Lovisa and Cecilia

Spotlight: Folk Chair - Pedrali
Folk collection accentuates the quest for simplicity and durability. Consisting of only 7 elements this chair can be repaired in a minute. Modular and sustainable - we think it is brilliant.
The die-casted aluminium ring allows for easy repair and additional strength. It even creates a nice design feature by chosing a contrasting color on the chair.
Built from solid ash wood - the aluminium ring holds the seat and backshell, which allows visual lightness and maximum durability. The bent plywood backrest ensures maximum comfort.
Cane material is back again, you see it in seat and backshells. Often we see quality problems in highly trafficked areas. Sagging seats and even holes. Pedrali has woven in a nylon yarn
With a weight of only 4,4 kg this is an ultra strong and lightweight chair.
Also available as barstool in heights 65, 75 and 79cm.
Choose seats in cane for maximum airiness and elegance, wood or a large collection fabrics.

On location we visited their HQ and production, met the people behind the brand and the family Pedrali. A splendid trip, we hope to see you soon again Anna, Jenny, Nadia, Katya, Claes, Thomas and Robert.

Pedrali is this year celebrating it’s 60th anniversary.
The created a beautiful Pavilion to celebrate the festivities. Erected from wood and designed by Michelle de Lucchi founder AMD Circle this will move later in 2024 to a new location. Pedrali created the theme around ‘We design a better future’ . As Pedrali states it themselves: An Anniversary is an appointment with one’s own hostory
Spotlight: Arki table - a powerful table range
Arki is of the meaning 'praising' - an accurate name we thin. The Arki family caters to all areas of working and lounging you decided it purpose. It’s diversity deserves makes this product relevant in todays world.
Arki conference tables are extremely price competitive and sizes go up to 360cm made out of 1 piece. See also the royal leg clearance under the table. Nobody needs to egt out of the way.
The aluminium extruded forms the base base of all tables.
From there you choose:
Size: round dia 80 to max 160cm, rectangular ranging from 140 to 360cm and even square tables
